Your Dad Rat is in production!

In April 2025, the Dad Rat was unveiled at Bespoked. So it would have been around about this time last year that I started pulling the idea of “speedy-production” out of my head and making it a reality.
A year later, I have finally gotten all my ducks in a row and started production on the very first batch of 10 Dad Rats. The first Rat colony is born.
I am by no means “ready for production”. I mean, I have all the tubes and materials, and I have the means to turn them all into frames. What I don’t have are all the production fixtures and process is place in order for this to be the well-oiled machine it needs to be in order to make a profit.
If I’m honest, I have some idea of what I want these tools and processes to be. But they will need refinement, and the only way to find out what those refinements will need to be is to get stuck in.
I also think that you early adopters, you pioneers of British bicycle manufacturing, have been waiting long enough for me to get these frames made. I have to say how grateful I am to you for your extreme patience. Not having the wolf banging on the door asking for frame or refund, appreciate y’all.
So. I will build this batch, and probably one or two more, without those pieces of the puzzle in place. I shall take notes. I shall make adjustments. This time next year, Rodney, we’ll be millionaires.
I dont have a solid delivery date for you yet. As I mentioned above, I don’t have everything in place. So there is bound to be a few unforeseen hurdles. But rest assured that the Rats are on their way.
