Q. Do I need a Chain Device Mount?

If you want to run any sort of chain retention device, you really do need a chain device mount. If you’re happy to rely on a narrow/wide chainring or are using a front derailleur, then you don’t need one. All of our chain device mounts are ISCG05, which is the current, slightly larger 3-bolt standard. ISCG-old chain devices look very similar, but aren’t compatible!
